One of my all-time favorite restaurants specifically for their spicy fried chicken. The numbing spice on the chicken is unlike anything I've ever had ever before. When I was young, I tried a numbing spicy chicken wing somewhere else and had been searching for that for many years. I found this place and was thoroughly impressed with the mountain style fried chicken. What this place is most known for though is their noodles. they got soupy noodles, dry noodles, spicy noodles, mild noodles, noodle, for everybody, for every mood, all types of weather. The prices here are phenomenal. You could probably just buy a bunch of food and use that as meal prep. I really like the garlic cucumbers, they're refreshing with the spicy meals. I always get the winter melon tea, which is not too sweet, but always refreshing. it's not hard to tell why Jonathan Gold, famed Los Angeles times food critic, gave this place a review. They do things right and you must try it!

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. i came here on a weekday and it wasn't too busy, so the food came pretty quick. the hand pulled noodles are so fresh and soft and if you're a spicy food lover, this place is for you! i recommend trying any of the hand pulled noodles from here, i've never had noodles so good from anywhere else! i don't eat pork, and servers are really nice and helpful in explaining which noodles to order to best suit your food preferences

Friendly service and tasty noodles! Be careful if you can't handle heat in your food, things here can get spicy and some dishes can't be made without the spiciness. Glad we found this place. It can be easy to drive past, and the parking lot is a bit weird to get in and out of.

Food- 5/5 home made noodles have a nice bouncy feel. Flavors are strong and very yummy. I highly recommend the biang biang noodles. Portions are large, expect to be full and likely have leftovers from a single order of noodles. Service- attentive and minimal, about the best you can ask for from a lowkey Chinese restaurant. They refilled my water twice before it was empty and provided the check promptly. Ambiance- feels like china in the best way. No music playing but it's still quiet enough to easily talk. Very casual, but don't come here for the ambiance, come here for the food lol! The waiters speak both mandarin and Chinese. Price: $27 after tax, before tip. I am happy with the bang for my buck.

On my extensive search, aka Reddit, there were a few names that were consistently popping up, this was one of them. It felt like a road trip in LA traffic on a Friday evening, but I made it! It's a small shop in a strip mall with easy parking. When you walk inside it's a ma and pa feel and the customer service is great. I had takeout with: Dan Dan noodles, fried chicken, lamb, house noodles, and pig ear. The portions were plenty! I think all of the dishes were solid, I don't think I had a clear preference. It's a great place to get larger than normal portions of food though nothing blew me away.

My guy was craving a special noodle dish that he had in Sichuan from his China trip that he researched on where to find in SGV and this place popped up. He ordered garlic cucumbers, the Fire Noodle and the Chongqing dan dan noodles. Both noodle dishes were delicious but I wasn't used to the numbing sensation from the pepper they used in Fire Noodle dish. I guess it's a known thing in the region. I could taste the freshness of the handmade noodles and the flavor/spices were mouth watering. The place isn't fancy by any means but it was clean and staff were attentive & friendly.

Great casual spot for Chinese noodles and spicy side dishes! My friend loves this spot, especially their crispy chicken, and said that pretty much everything here is good. What I liked was how flavorful everything was and how you could get thick, knife cut noodles here. Not sure if this is a regular special, but the waitress gave us a complimentary plate of cold spicy chicken, since we had a large group. Thought it was a nice touch!

Great hole in the wall restaurant for handmade noodles. The environment is definitely run down but the food was good. I ordered the Biang Biang noodles that came with half tomato egg and half meat sauce. It's really tasty once all mixed together. Noodles are perfectly QQ in texture. Portion wise-- I probably could have eaten another bowl so order more if you're hungry. I also got the juicy xlb but I lot of them lost their soup juice. Only a few of them actually came with soup. It did come out piping hot so I think that's what probably made the skin break and soup to spill out.

Chong Qing Special Noodles is famous for its variety of handmade noodles from Sichuan. The Chong Qing Noodles, Dan Dan noodles, and Biang Biang noodles have one thing in common - the ability to zap your tongue with little elastic jolts. Chong Qing Noodles (Xiao Mian): The thin wheat noodles are nice and chewy. There's a spoonful of tasty minced pork. In terms of greens, there are a few stalks of bok choy and tid bits of preserved mustard greens throughout. The broth is a mix of chili oil, mala seasonings, and spices. Don't let the red color scare you. The spices won't really burn you. The Sichuan peppercorns produce more of a tingly, tongue numbing effect. There's a sign on the wall that tells you to stir up the ingredients at the bottom of the bowl 18 times. The fried egg adds a change of pace from the spices. Dining Area: There are about five booths along each wall.  Parking: The little strip mall has a small lot.
